You must re-apply to get another week
The Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) provides a maximum of 6 payments and does not renew automatically. If you are eligible for another payment, you must apply for each 1-week period separately.
To re-apply, you must continue to meet all the eligibility criteria.
How to re-apply
You can only apply after the 1-week period you are applying for has ended. The application process is the same each time.

When to expect your payment
If you're eligible for the CRSB, you can expect to get $500 ($450 after taxes withheld) for the 1-week period you applied for.
Processing time without validation
- Direct deposit
- Direct deposit takes about 3 to 5 business days if you have it set up with the CRA.
- By mail
- A mailed cheque should arrive in about 10 to 12 business days.
Processing time with validation
If your situation is more complex and the information you provide is not clear or documents are missing, it may take up to 8 weeks to process your application.
