How to Find and Request CRA Tax Forms in Accessible Formats

Transcript

Need to find a form in order to file your taxes?

As part of the commitments set out in the Accessible Canada Act, the CRA aims to identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers with a goal of making Canada barrier-free.

While it is possible to use a search engine to find the forms you need, you can search from the Canada Revenue Agency’s home page by clicking “Forms and Publications” in our most requested section.

From there, click on “CRA Forms” which will take you to a page where all CRA forms are listed by number and title.

You can search for the number or the title of the form.

For example, if you would like to apply for the Disability tax credit, you can find it by searching for the form name, “disability tax credit,” or by entering the form number “T2201.”

By clicking on the form number, you can find links to download the form.

The file to download will be named according to the form number plus the relevant tax year, so make sure you know your form’s number and confirm the tax year you’re filing for.

On this page, you will also find information on how to fill out the form and all of the alternate formats of the form that are available to download.

If your preferred alternate format is not listed, click the link under “Ask for an alternate format” to place an order.

To order your preferred alternate format, fill out the online form and then click “Submit.”

If you provide your email address, you will receive a confirmation message and you can double check that the information you provided is correct.

If you need support, you can contact us. Contact information can be found at canada.ca/cra-contact.
