Appendix D - Horizontal Initiatives

The number of initiatives that require co-ordination and co-operation among a number of federal government partner organizations is steadily increasing. Many departments and agencies work together to deliver policies, programs, and services to Canadians. These initiatives are key to the success of our public service in the new knowledge-based economy.
